Ukraine, hands down.

First, Ukraine fights on its own territory, and thus knows it better than the Russians : that’s quite the advantage.

Second, Ukraine is fighting defensively, and usually the defenders score a 5/1 kill/death ratio against the attackers.

Third, Ukraine is backed by the whole West. The brightest strategists are working tirelessly to ensure Ukraine’s victory, while the Western SOTA armaments are making the difference with the Russian Soviet-made dishwashers and shovels.

Fourth, intelligence is on Ukraine’s side. James Bond and OSS 117 are spying in Moscow, giving Kiev insight over the strategy and tactics of the enemy. Top US spies regularly travel to Kiev to establish new plans against the Russian aggression, and the Ukrainian Staff is regularly reshuffled to ensure freshness and competence to the decision making process in Kiev.

Fifth, France and Germany are on Ukraine’s side, and if we look at History, these 2 countries have an history about piercing Russian defenses up to Moscow. As for the ulterior visit of the Russian forces to their capital cities, it’s a detail, really.

Sixth, the enthusiasm of the Ukrainians can and will make a difference. Suffice to see the Ukrainian diaspora gloating about the successes of the Ukrainian Army on our mainstream media to understand that nothing will stop Ukraine to obtain victory on the battlefield. Not to speak about the journalists interviewing said diaspora, exalting its virtue, and nodding in agreements with their pertinent insight over the triumphs of Ukraine and the poor State of the Russian Army and economy.

Seventh, like a cherry on a creamy cake, Emmanuel Macron brought a strategic ambiguity which disturbs deeply the Russians. By implying both in private and in public that France could use its martial power to ensure Ukraine’s victory, this without drawing red-lines nor limits to “la marche triomphale des majorettes”, Macron made a authoritative display of power, and, like Napoleon in battle but without even the need to be in battle, heightened the morale of the Ukrainian troops who are now berserking the Russian forces more than ever, muttering “victory of death” as they ram mercilessly the Russian lines to the last Ukrainian.

Suffice to say that the Western exaltation over Ukraine’s drive toward victory knows no boundaries. Recently, the USA disengaged themselves financially, considering that the Ukrainians can win with what they have, and that the EU was sufficient to back Kiev into victory. In that altruist gesture, the USA ensured that all the glory would be for Ukraine and its European partners.

Meanwhile, very confident and daring Germans are already speaking about blowing-up the Kerch bridge, thus making a clear statement that Germany is back in the world of hard powers, and leaving everyone shake in fear at the idea of the powerful German army marching East and making the clear demonstration of who’s boss in Europe still.

If with all these advantages, Ukraine doesn’t win against Russia, we’ll speak about bad-luck, or about us being too lenient with Russia, a Russia too weak to be even worthy of a NATO assault, because it’s well known that NATO only attacks worthy targets in fair battles, thus highlighting both its moral values, its martial virtues, and its magnanimity since the end of the Cold-War.

And of course, these are facts, not opinions. Let alone delusions, not even to speak about any form of sarcasm.

War is a place where young people who don’t know each other and don’t hate each other kill each other because of decisions made by old people who know each other and hate each other but don’t kill each other.

That’s why my advice is that the old decision makers should put themselves in the front line and kill each other. Then there would be less war! Or they’ll understand at some point that it’s better to send diplomats instead of weapons.

War begins with people and ends with the people at the negotiating table after thousands or even millions have died first. We are for peace and against war!
