Seychelles: EU Listing Update

Seychelles: EU Listing Update

Important notice for our partners and clients:

We are pleased to inform you that Seychelles has been removed from the European Union’s list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions. This decision is a significant milestone and underlines Seychelles’ continued commitment to “transparency”, international cooperation and compliance with the highest tax standards.

Removal from the EU list:

Confirmation of commitment to transparency: Seychelles has actively and transparently participated in international efforts to combat tax evasion and avoidance.

Recognition of regulatory framework: The Government of Seychelles’ meticulous implementation of robust regulations in the tax area is recognized by the EU.

Strengthened reputation as a reliable jurisdiction: Seychelles is positioning itself as an attractive and trustworthy location for international business activities.

Note:

The removal of Seychelles from the EU list of non-cooperative tax jurisdictions does not automatically mean that it will also participate in the OECD Agreement on Exchange of Taxes (AEOI).

The EU list and the AEOI are two separate initiatives to combat tax evasion and avoidance. The EU list focuses on transparency of tax information, while the AEOI provides for the automatic exchange of tax data between participating countries.

While Seychelles has committed to complying with international standards on tax matters, it has not yet officially committed to the AEOI. However, there are signs that this may happen in the future.

Current status:

EU list: Seychelles removed (2024)

OECD AEOI: Seychelles has not yet committed

Future:

Possible Seychelles joining AEOI in the next few years
Diversifying finances legally

While FATCA and CRS could be called regulatory overreach, they promote the idea of compliance. Here at TCME Group Worldwide, we firmly believe that it is high time to banish the notion that offshore banking automatically makes you a criminal. This is simply not the case.

To achieve a more positive image for offshore banking, we need to move from the idea of ”hiding” money to the concept of legally diversifying our finances.

But one conclusion remains: the world is becoming increasingly difficult for offshore activities. Existing regulations for offshoring are becoming more stringent and more frequently enforced, and new regulations are constantly being introduced. Simply hiding money is not a realistic strategy – it is a one-way ticket to legal trouble. True international diversification relies on experience and expertise underlying the legal strategy. If you need help with a comprehensive diversification plan, apply to become a client of TCME Group Worldwide today.

Impact on our clients:

We remain at your side to help you comply with all regulatory requirements. Our expertise and commitment will enable you to succeed in your business ventures in Seychelles.

Do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

Our legal team and specialist lawyers are well-known in the global immigration field and have over 25 years of experience in fast-track dual citizenship programs.

We currently work with more than 70 countries, advise governments and help find investors for their projects and focus on high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) or companies that have at least double-digit million assets.

In contrast to the classic agent who wants to sell you a second citizenship, we see ourselves as a “boutice” for a special clientele.
It’s not just a question of which citizenship program is best for you, how much it costs in the respective country, but what happens after that?
Are there good international schools there for your children?
What are the business opportunities in the respective country?
What about health care, how much taxes do you have to pay in the country?
Can I obtain a second citizenship in a country of my choice even though it does not offer an official citizenship program, but the government is interested in individuals or investors who provide a benefit to the country and are therefore granted citizenship!

We are at home in every country where we offer you a residence permit or citizenship, we work locally with our tax advisors and lawyers and of course we know the country and its mentality.

In our opinion, it is not enough to just want to sell citizenship based on books or dangerous half-knowledge.

Another specialty area of full-service consulting is investment opportunity and solutions in Europe, particularly in the Balkans, Africa, Asia, the United Arab Emirates, the Caribbean and the Pacific.

Since 2016, we have been, among other things, an important mentor for various business groups, economists, financial managers, investment advisors, business leaders, lawyers and notaries in the implementation and development of programs as:

YOUR CHANCE FOR A BETTER LIFE
